With the 2nd Group of our Yoga Retreat in breathtaking Cappadocia, we experienced a truly special Easter, filled with emotion, on the sacred lands of our ancestors. History and Orthodoxy, caves, underground cities, volcanic formations, Whirling Dervishes, majestic horses, hot air balloons, carpets, pottery, authentic flavors, and an aura of the East that one must experience to truly understand.
We were captivated by the scenery and the unique locations where we practiced, such as the Dervish Caravanserai dating back to 1249, the Red Valley with its magnificent sunset, and the rooftop of our cave hotel.
In this vast open-air museum, we lit our candles at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, cracked our red Easter eggs, and exchanged the ‘Christ is Risen’ greeting at the Greek House in Sinasos—right after being deeply moved by our guide Eva’s song about the ‘Unforgettable Homelands.
