The wild beauty of Tzoumerka gripped us in a special Yoga retreat in the Athamanic Mountains. After a prolonged confinement, the first call was to a lush landscape, with warm weather but snow-capped mountain peaks. The area is reminds Greece from the past, with a welcoming environment, as long as you are left to the sounds and smells of nature.
In the three day period of May 2021 we had the opportunity to enjoy food by local pure products, to visit the Monastery of Kipina that hangs in a rock, to walk from Kalarrytes to Syrrako and to end up singing in the traditional cafe of Napoleon Zaglis. The last day included rafting in Arachthos. A thrilling experience with waterfalls, imposing green gorges, and at the end of the route crossing the largest single-arched bridge in the Balkans, the restored Plaka Bridge.
