For the 7th consecutive year, we enjoyed a unique yoga retreat in Ikaria, where time itself has stopped. Friends from all over the world, Japan, Egypt, Italy, Germany, Cyprus and Greece, enjoyed this retreat while relaxing in the magnificent beach of Mesakti, hiking to the Hot Springs, visit Seychelles, and have fun at the feast of Agios Ioannis Klidonas. We also visited the Iera Moni of Theoktisti and lived moments which will stay with us forever.
Ikaria reminds me of a popular quote by Lao Ce:
Dedicate time to hear what can’t be heard, obey the law that’s impossible to write, worship the insignificant and embrace the shapeless.
This is the simplicity of life, this is Ikaria. Simplicity is all about removing what’s unnecessary.
We all end up surrounded and suffocated by demands, expectations and roles that we need to carry on doing, making it impossible to enjoy life.
When the world surrounding us is simple, so is our inner self, thoughts and feelings.
