The third Yoga Retreat for 2022, was organised once more in an extraordinary location in Cappadocia. This 6-day retreat from 25th to 30th October, we took a trip back in time and explored the depths of the East, with strong Hellenic and orthodox elements. It was a magical retreat, with landscapes made out of volcanic stones, open museums, caves, underground cities, pottery, churches, dervishes and picturesque villages. We also fulfilled our dream to fly a hot air balloon, following the whole process from 5am to inflate it – to flying it while watching the sunrise. A small celebration also followed right after our landing. An itinerary full of things to see and feel, yoga practices and special spaces such as the Red Valley and the watching the sun set from the Dervish Inn. A truly magnificent experience.
That’s how I experience my Cappadocia.
It feels like being on a magical carpet, lost in time. Intense aromas, from the depths of the East, with a magical energy which makes you think you will travel back in time, when those lands belonged to the Greeks. Maybe the magical Gini listens to the hearts of the Greeks beating hard, and that’s what makes you think of all the Greek elements so fondly.
