The 4th Yoga Retreat in Kythera is an event which I will never forget, and I hold very dear, because that was my 50th Yoga Retreat. The first word that comes to mind is “Sempreviva”. The golden flower of the Greek countryside that is always bloomed! It symbolises eternal love and it’s directly connected with the fables of Paris and Helen of Troy. This small yellow flower is named after the Italian word “sempre” which means “always” and the participle of the verb “vivere” which means “to live”, so essentially it means “to live forever”.
This is my relationship with Kythera, which we visited for the 4th time, organising yet another successful Yoga Retreat. An eternal love with this island, a bond which has endured through time.
After 7 practice sessions for all levels of fitness, everyone felt refreshed and relaxed, all thanks to relaxing movements and connecting the body and soul.
A beautiful group of friends from all over the world was formed. We connected through the yoga practices and trips to every magical place the island had to offer such as the Fonissa Waterfalls in Milopotamos, Chalkos and Melidoni beaches, Avlemonas which looked like it was taken out of a fairy tale and the beautiful boat ride we took to Chytra.
