The magical setting of Montanema Handmade Village with a stunning hall overlooking the forest is ideal for hosting our Yoga Retreat for the 3rd time. During the weekend we will walk through the fir forest to Ai Giorgi’s post-Byzantine church, we will search for mushrooms in the woods, we will descent to the gorge of Anthochorion and marvel at the waterfalls, we will have cooking lessons and feed the animals of the farm inside the village.

The flavors, the aromas, the people’s passion, the setting’s warmth, the fir-covered landscape’s unique view. Here the acquisition of the traditional and pure raw materials is done with every day labor. All of nature’s herbs and fruit from this untouched corner of the world are hand-picked. The local cooking, with the traditional Agrafian recipes, offers an indescribable taste experience … It is cooked in 3 wood-fired ovens with the traditional casserole: Recipes with pure regional free range meat. Handmade and baked bread with no preservatives and sweeteners from the neighboring watermill. Seasonal vegetables from the gardens that are watered by the waters of the Agrafa springs, without pesticides. Eggs from their own chickens and regional pulses, all organic and pure with flavors that will make your mind wander.

In the 3-Day yoga retreat in Montanena, yoga techniques to deepen your contact with the positive qualities within you will be used. Foteini will work intensively in a series of practices that strengthen the body, calm the mind and lead to a more harmonious and balanced state of being. These include Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation at the end of the course.

Fotini Bitrou (Hatha, Restorative and Vinyasa Yoga)

Fotini comes from Aegina and operates the Kouros studio in the town of Aegina. She is a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 Certified teacher and graduate Gymnastics Academy (Athens Physical Education). Formerly a nationwide champion in 800m and 1500m athletics.

• Cancellation 8 weeks before departure – loss of deposit
• Cancellation 8-2 weeks before departure – loss of 80% of the total amount
• Cancellation two weeks until departure – loss of 100% of the total amount

covid19 update

With over 30 yoga retreats that we have organized in Greece and abroad, we have proved that even in extreme conditions, such as those of coronavirus, none of our trips has been canceled, some of them were transferred, and almost all of them, except those abroad, took place in 2020.

We have also guaranteed and refund travelers’ deposits even if transferred.

All yoga retreats for 2021 will be performed normally, strictly adhering to all the health protocols.

In any case, if there are health instructions and provisions for a specific place and it is not possible to perform the retreat, the deposit will be refunded, or -if you wish- it will be used for another retreat. The most important thing is to go somewhere and have a good time! Without stress. This is the meaning of yoga retreat.
