We shield our body and make our day by working out during our stay at home for protection against the spread of COVID-19.
The days are passing by, so make your day by creating a schedule. Dedicate some time to yourself and add exercising in your day. Find a place in your home where could be the place to do your practice. Give your practice a name and a specific time in the day in order to be consistent.
Keeping yourself active during the day may help reduce the symptoms of mental illness and can also help avoid physical diseases. So, if you are stuck at home but you want to feel healthy and good with yourself, it is important that you move your body and that you do not move from your bed to your sofa and back for nine hours a day.
We often associate fitness with the health of our heart and the loss of weight, but exercise also helps with the health of our lungs.
Regular exercise benefits the lungs, and vice versa, lung diseases dramatically reduce the ability to exercise, explains pulmonologist Dr. Gizopoulou Evangelia.
We should not forget the fact that the coronavirus can cause pneumonia to the patient, with the vulnerable groups of the population being more at risk.
Any regular physical activity helps stimulate the immune system.
So, the triptych:
- Good hygiene
- Staying at home
- Exercise – sleep – nutrition
